Yesssss!!! Beach House and Papercuts are touring near me!!!

Seriously, I was getting straigh-up panicky thinking about all the bands that will be purposefully avoiding my winter residence during their touring schedules, and then I find out the wonderful and lovely Beach House will be swinging through Mpls in March, right after SXSW!!! With their fellow shoegazey, female-fronted friends Papercuts, who I discovered only today, but also now really like!!!! Imagine my excitement!!! Then imagine me realising that March is three months away!!!

:(

The good thing is that Beach House is 2 Fast 2 Furious with making records, and that they've got a new one coming out at the end of February on Carpark Records (See 2008 Primed to be totally awesome REAL TALK or don't...it's not exactly the zenith of quality writing.) There's a new track, "Gila," on the Beach House MySpace page, as well as some choice cuts from their debut self-titled LP. Note: Both Beach House and Papercuts use a lot of organ in their music, which automatically makes them good. "Master of None" is at the top of my iTunes "most played" list (See According to iTunes, I have listened to this Beach House song 15 times today), and if you're lucky, it might, just might, be also on the Christmas mix cd I'm making!!!

(If I had Photoshop, I would totally combine this shit movie poster with the totally incredible band photo above. Q: How spectacular would that be? A: FIREWORKS.)
