Leonard Cohen embarks on tour you cannot afford

Hello! Please sit down, make yourself at home. I'm Leonard Cohen. Do you like candlelight? I really think it creates a certain warmth, really gives people a chance to just BE, to just TALK. You see, I will be coming to your town shortly. I know you have never seen me before until well--this little candlelit chat we're having--and well, frankly, there is no way in hell you or anyone else will be able to afford it. Unless of course you are one of those older, distinguished Minneapolis residents who spends leisurely (I said "lesh-ur-lee") Friday evenings sipping a glass at Bar Lurcat and postulating on the quality of various small European literary publishing houses and listening to MPR with the volume turned down low while remodeling your 1923 Craftsman cottage. And I see that you are not wearing black horn-rimmed glasses today, so clearly you are not. You will not be able to afford my show. Please, though, I beg of you, enjoy and purchase my Live in London double CD/DVD release, coming soon! And if you dig up $78.50-$253.50, you know where I'll be. Ciao!

Ohhhh so much Leonard Cohen dates!

Thank you, Leonard Cohen, for going on a tour so long that I barely have to type anything. This is good b/c I am at the coffeeshop but want to get out of here so that I can use the bathroom. This is bad because all of the dates are in Europe, where I am not.

And that's it! That's all I am going to write for you this week! I have been so busy doing my usual depressing crapschedule of obsessively applying for jobs, and living through two of the potentially funnest, boating-filled days of the summer earlier this week, that I just straight up haven't had time to scour the approximately 3 news sources I rip off to write this blog. (Note: "funnest" does not show up as a mistake on my spellcheck, but "crapschedule" does. What gives? Thanks for making America dumber, Spellcheck. Or would you prefer I say "more dumber???") Until next week, then, and until I get one of these here jobs I'm interviewing for in the next few days. So please...wish me luck, and wish me a regular income.

No more sittin' at home for Leonard Cohen

Ohhhhhhhhh man! That dude is gonna be everywhere! Except maybe the United States, but word on the street is that a swing through at least the main 48 (SORRY HAWAII YOU CAN'T ALWAYS BE THE BEST AT EVERYTHING) is most likely gonna happen.

In other news, OMGwhatisthat.blogspot.com is the most incredible webpage I have ever seen. Sure, I wrote it, but that doesn't make it any less good/mean that I'm biased or anything. Also it's easier to write than this one b/c all I have to do is link to funny animal images/videos which I do not own. Oh man, the SXSW countdown is on and I am just a bundle of inarticulate nerves.
