Reggae-loving, unfuckwithable all-lady punk band the Slits are coming to the United States! And while they're not coming to the fair city of Minneapolis, they ARE doing the right thing in attending SXSW, where I will totally go see them, unless free drinks and a need for pizza from the heavy metal pizza place diverts my course. They've got new material, and new members, and presumably they're touring to showcase the newly available Revenge of the Killer Slits EP, for which they drafted Marco Pirroni (Siouxsie and the Banshees, Adam and the Ants) and Paul Cook (Sex Pistols.)
In other news, I just discovered that I can pick up an internet signal at the laundromat! SWEET DUDE. And that if you only have a 20 dollar bill and you need change for the washing machines, you will get $20 in quarters! Looks like some lucky bartenders will be getting tipped in quarters tonight at Super Tuesday 2-4-1s!!! Also, I have been walking around the record store all day today yelling "Super Tuesday!!!", and I just got done putting in my caucus vote. The line was out the door. I cannot wait to do Super Tuesday theme shots.
