Cocteau Twins, Echo & the Bunnymen, Goldfrapp, Massive Attack, Spiritualized members...together at last!

Best supergroup ever?

Okay, so it already happened. November 26, 2008, in London, in fact. But if it happened once, maybe it'll happen again, riiiiiight??? They're called the Hookham Boys. And they are people like (deep breath) Damon Reece (Massive Attack, Echo And The Bunnymen, Spiritualized), Alex Lee (Suede, Goldfrapp), Sean Cook (Spiritualized), Joe Allen (Strangelove), Jake Drake Brockman (Echo And The Bunnymen), Vincent Pellegrino and Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins). SIGH! Elizabeth Fraser! Of Cocteau Twins! The band I almost returned to the desert inferno known as CoacHELLa to see, after vowing I would never go back for anything besides my high school love Portishead. The Guardian describes the performance as an evening of "countrybilly and a sprinkle of Johnny Cash covers." Nothing on YouTube yet, alas.

Goldfrapp tour! And the blog is back!

It's back by popular demand, and because now that my credit card is on its new billing cycle, I can afford to go to the coffeeshop again! Surely I will get a job by the time the NEW statement is due! Surely....

But enough about my financial woes. Let's talk about the more successful, more British Alison, Alison Goldfrapp. She and her band will be visiting several continents during the late summer/early fall, in support of her latest album Seventh Tree, which admittedly I haven't really listened to, but that you can listen to HERE.
